So proud of these two. Their story is simple and inspiring. I love that even though she has not been formally trained in design that she's done so well and is confident in her abilities. Love that they've allowed their faith in God to be such an anchor.

I'm an avid reader, who enjoys having a mental picture built of the world and the characters in a book. This didn't really happen much for me. The story progressed too quickly, and Sofia often made me worry with her "I want to escape, I don't want to escape, I trust Derek, wtf am I doing here" routine. I love a strong female character, don't get me wrong, but Sofia's quick adaptation to this earth-shattering change just felt wrong. I also feel that certain relationships in the book weren't built properly at all. Again, the story progressed too quickly, and by the end of a few paragraphs I'm supposed to believe that some characters have forged a strong, powerful, trusting bond with one another, and it just isn't realistic. I like the overall idea of the book, but if the book was going to be so short, then perhaps the author should've shortened what she wanted to put in this book in favor of building relationships and filling out detail to give the book a natural feeling. As it is, to me it seems like something she did up quickly on her laptop and published without a second thought. I've heard the second book is supposed to be much longer than this one, which gives me hope because I really do like the idea behind the book, I really do want to know what happens next. However, I'm apprehensive to buy it because if it is similar to this book in execution, I can't really justify wanting to spend my hard earned money on it. I guess we'll see.

I used previous versions of Visio Pro to build ER diagrams and create databases. It was a good tool. However, the 2010 version abandons any attempt to be useful in actual software development. You cannot generate databases from this product, as you can for others. If you just want flowcharts, stick with the standard version. If you want this for other functions, read other reviews. But if you want to use Visio as part of serious software development, do yourself a favor and don't try. Use Erwin instead.

I'm a graduate student in English Literature, so I needed a big, comfortable bag. This bag completely met my expectations and did so with style. I waffled between the Medium and Large sizes but I'm really glad I went with Medium - this size is perfect for the tons of books and papers I carry daily. It's a lot roomier than I imagined. I love wearing it tight against my back because I ride my bike to school, but it's very comfortable however you choose to wear it. The Napoleon pocket is so convenient for my keys and phone, and the side pocket inside is perfect for keeping loose papers in order. I don't usually review products on Amazon but I loved this bag so much that I thought I'd share.
