  • Restaurant for Two: Knife | New Girl in the City - Restaurant for Two: a feature where I bring a friend to a restaurant and we write a review together. This time around, I joined a group of fellow writers for lunch at Knife.  Knife, located in Lincoln Square, offers guests contemporary twists on traditional steakhouse offerings. “We want to take the essence of a classic dish and re-create…
  • Filling the Void in my Heart | New Girl in the City - The literal female human heart weighs only 8 ounces, a mere .3% of the average female's body weight. The figurative heart, though, makes up a much larger percentage of a female. When I think about my life and the things I love most, my figurative heart is nearly full of contentment, happiness, and pride. I'd say…
  • My First “I Love Chicago” Moment | New Girl in the City - Today was my first official “I love Chicago” moment, a phenomenon similar to the overwhelming feelings I’d had in Hong Kong, interestingly enough called “I love Hong Kong” moments. Here’s what happened: I’d just picked up Nutcracker tickets in the Joffrey Ballet building. The Macy’s windows were decorated with Christmas care, a homeless man was…
  • Southeast New Mexico | New Girl in the City - Full of kitsch and small town charm, my friend, Karen, and I took a 4-day trip to Southeast New Mexico, including Roswell & Carlsbad Caverns. Full of all sorts of information, stop at the Roswell Visitor's Center before you head off on your Southeast New Mexico adventure. Renting a car is a must to get around the…

  • Bill R. - Some good features, but overall a PIA

This software will save you lots of time, then it will take all that time away as you try and do something which should be a no-brainer; such as justifying text to above instead of below a symbol. If you are a detail oriented person it will drive you nuts. You will have to learn a lot of work-arounds.

  • Questarian - Independent Day 2 Late.

A 20 year waiting for a sequel, and it goes from blockbuster to lack luster. It not bad as I feared, but no were near as good as I hoped. A predictable sequel, pretty sure someone green lighted the project by saying, "don't worry about a good story, jist do it like the last one but make everything bigger!"

  • Darlene Banta - Breaks after 6 months (tried 3 of them). Do Not Buy!!!!

Works great for 6 months to a year and then completely stops producing steam. The first one I had I assumed I didn't clean well enough so I bought a second. The second one stopped working after 6 months. I called Haan and Haan would not stand by their year warranty because Amazon was not an authorized seller. Luckily Amazon shipped me a new one. So now I'm on my third Haan Steam Mop and this one just stopped working at just over the year mark.

  • OnTheRoad - Excellent Product!

Fabulous device. Couldn't be simpler to set up and works exactly as described. We keep it in our New England home in winter while we travel south in our RV. So I always know what the temperature is inside the house with a simple online check. I've also tested the alerts by creating an out-of-range condition and it works like a charm. Highly recommended.

  • Michiganian - Nice phone but soft navigation icons

The phone is really nice for the price. Comes with Android 4.0.4 installed. No support for Adobe Flash unless you manually download from the Adobe archive site.
